I keep hearing about how you have to wait to test until the trigger is out of your system or you might get a false positive. I’ve never ever ever seen two lines so today I decided to do a little experiment. I dipped both an ovulation test strip and a pregnancy test strip in some an afternoon urine sample just to see what would happen. (I know, totally crazy!) Here are the results (top/blue is the pregnancy strip and bottom/green is the ovulation strip):

Can you see it? The blue strip (pregnancy, on top) has a very faint line! I was kind of expecting it to be stronger but maybe it’s because it’s not FMU or maybe it’s because they’re not early detection strips or maybe it’s because i took the trigger a week ago. Anyway, it’s so exciting! I now know what a faint line looks like! The ovulation strip is definitely positive.
I found lots of interesting information about using an OPK as a pregnancy test here. I don’t think any of this applies to me though since I had a trigger shot. Interesting, nonetheless!
I love experiments!
