September 11th. I’ll never forget that day nine years ago. I remember it more clearly than yesterday. I’m in NYC now and I’m honored to remember this day among those who suffered. Today the weather is exactly like it was that day. Beautiful blue cloudless sky.
I can see downtown from my apartment and if the towers were still there I would see them too. I recently watched the documentary “Man On Wire” which is about the guy who walked a tightrope between the two towers back in the 70s while the towers were still under construction. The film includes shots of the towers being built and when you see how huge it is and all that steel, it’s so hard to imagine that they crumbled. Such a tragedy.
Last night we saw the two lights projected into the evening sky in memory of the twin towers. I hope to get a photo tonight. I’ll share it if I do.
