That Look

Let me paint you a picture. Woke up today feeling good, although feeling bad about conkin out on DH right after (or was it during?) dinner. (As Lis says, IVF is seeeeexxxxy!) Ate breakfast, showered, got ready. Definitely aware of my ovaries.

Head to my bikini wax. Nothing like ripping hair off your lady bits first thing in the morning as a way to fully wake up. Yowza! HELLO!

Next, I had to waste some time before my hair (the kind you keep!) appointment. So I shopped. Banana is having a great sale on sweaters, y’all. I’m stocking up for my winter I might be bloated or pregnant long sweater legging/skinny jean look. I even bought some new boots yesterday. I’m am ready!

I finally get my booty to my hair appointment and my girl works her magic. We did a dark warm brown and added in some layers including lots around the face. It looks awesome. Thanks, btw, for your comments on whether or not I should color my hair. My husband’s take was if the nurse said its fine, we should trust her. So everyone was in agreement!

Anyway, on to the point of this post. Up until now I’m just painting the picture. Basically I’m having a great day. I’m in a great mood. I propose a lunch date with hubby since I’m looking hot to trot.

I’m waiting outside of the proposed lunch spot for DH and I see him coming up the block, but across the street. He’s getting closer. He notices me. You know That Look on someone’s face when they recognize you from afar? Well That Look made me crumble today. It was as if all of my love for this man welled up to the surface and came pouring out in a single moment of adorableness. As soon as he noticed me and gave me That Look, I welled up and by the time he got to me I was sobbing. Uncontrollably. As in couldn’t speak a word or catch a breath sobbing. In public. On the streets on NYC. He had no idea what to do with me! Finally, I was able to squeak out “You looked so cute!” but he still was wondering what the hell happened to his wife. And nothing happened, I was just extremely moved by his cuteness.

Hormones are in full effect. Watch out now!
