Changing Tastes

Before pregnancy I didn’t care much for the following. Today, I adore them.
– cheesecake
– cantaloupe
– beer
– milk chocolate

I now dislike dark chocolate and I used to only like dark chocolate.

I also have a super crazy sweet tooth now. I used to be such a salty snack lover. I tried cutting out sweets in January and I couldn’t do it. I think about sweets all the time! It was like depriving myself of one of life’s basic needs. I wonder if things will change again when I’m done breastfeeding?

  1. I’ll bet that the sugar thing is ALL about the breast feeding. I know that I had a MAJOR sweet tooth the whole time I was doing it… and when the peditrician ordered me to stop breastfeeding *sniff*… the sweet tooth went away. I wonder why? Seems so strange. Maybe babies like sweet milk? Haha.

I had the same thing happen when I was pregnant with my first. Now 5 years later I still LOVE sweets! it sucks. It’s making me chubby.

Same here! The first six months or so that I nursed my daughter, I made brownies at least once a week. Now I rarely eat them. I’m so impressed with your dedication to nursing twins!

I hear ya! I eat Peanut M&M’s by the truckload!
