:)

Today after leaving the RE’s office I got on the subway to head to work and I saw my favorite poster that I blogged about right before my first FET back in March! Once again, it brought a smile to my face and reminded me to stay hopeful.

My appointment this morning was a little different from average. I got poked twice for my blood draw – once in each arm – but I guess that’s starting to become the norm. Then it was time for a date with the dildocam. Hotness! My lining was only 3mm which thinner than it usually is by this time but I think it’s because I messed up my Aygestin so AF came a little later than normal. (Whatever “normal” is these days.) The real surprise was that I have a 15mm follie on my lefty! When I first heard that I was frightened that it meant this cycle would be cancelled but the RE said it’s nothing to worry about. Let’s hope that remains true at next week’s appointment.

Do you think this follie is a viable follie? I thought Aygestin and Lupron suppressed your ovaries so what the heck? I hope it’s not a cyst. I’ve never had a cyst before. Maybe my body is getting used to Lupron so it’s just going on with life as normal and decided to pop out an egg. Hmm. Anyone ever had this happen during down-regulation before? (Okay, baby baker, stop worrying.)

Well I guess I shouldn’t worry because I just got the call from the RE and I’m cleared to drop Lupron down to 10 units starting tonight and I begin 2mg of Estrace 3x a day starting today. I have one more check in with the RE next Friday before our transfer. I’ve yet to receive an official schedule (the nurse has been out of the office for my last two appointments) but I’m still pretty sure the transfer will be on the 26th.

  1. I am not familiar enough with the FET process…I am so sorry. But trust them as much as you can, okay?

  2. Hey! My transfer is scheduled for the 26th too!! How exciting. We be going through our 2 week wait at exactly the same time this time. 🙂 I find it odd that you would have a dominant follicle when being suppressed. But your RE didn’t say boo about it so I guess I wouldn’t worry.

  3. Maybe it is a viable follicle. A friend of mine got pregnant while taking Lupron waiting to start her IVF cycle. (Lucky girl!) So who knows…
